Story behind the song
I enjoy "de-composing" well known tunes and turning them into Gospel Music (A fine old tradition, That's how we got both A Mighty Fortress is our God, and The Star-Spangled Banner) I re-worked the old Honky-Tonk standard into a Gospel piece. This recording was made live at the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree in Nashville, July 2012. I hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics
Chorus Oh I've got Heartaches no longer, and troubles no more Jesus took my sin away, now I'm free forevermore Yes, I've got heartaches no longer, and soon He'll come again, On the clouds of Glory, to take us home with Him. Heartache #1 was before I met you, i was living in this world bound by sin. With eyes of love, and open arms, You knocked on my hearts door, You rescued me, and now I'm born again. Chorus/ Break Heartache #2 was when I left You, like the prodigal I had to go astray, then I realized that way led to destruction, forgive me Lord, I'm coming Home to stay! Chorus/tag.
