A great song that is actually the 'B' side of another great song ...'The Witch's Promise'. I enjoyed the early Jethro Tull. This song is from their LP (album) called 'Benefit'. There is some flute on the original recording...not here though

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A great song by Jethro Tull
Lyrics
'Teacher' Ian Anderson ...Jethro Tull Well the dawn was coming Heard him ringing on my bell He said, my name's the teacher Oh that is what I call myself And I have a lesson That I must impart to you It's an old expression But I must insist it's true Jump up, look around Find yourself some fun No sense in sitting there hating everyone No man's an island and his castle isn't home The nest is for nothing when the bird has flown So I took a journey Threw my world into the sea With me went the teacher Who found fun instead of me Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said? Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed I try to socialize but I can't seem to find What I was looking for, got something on my mind. Then the teacher told me it had been a lot of fun. Thanked me for his ticket, and all that I had done. Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said? Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed I try to socialize but I can't seem to find What I was looking for, got something on my mind.

Excellent!! Nailed the vocals, great job on the percussion, you've made it your own without losing the essence of the original. I really like this version!
