I'm just a 56 year old cement mixer driver who gets laid off every winter for 3 months.I enjoy writing songs and recording them myself at home on my 8 track Boss BR864 recorder. It's just another one of my many hobbies.I just do it for kicks.Just laid back musical enjoyment. I have lots of originals and collabs on my page.My originals are are true stories about me,or people I know,or how I feel about things.Collabs are all efforts of me and my Soundclick friends.Doing collabs is my favorite thing here on Soundclick.Hope ya enjoy some of the tunes.

Story behind the song
Another Rosie Clare poem I put music to.
Lyrics
Began this Poem after leaving my Granddaughters soccer game. Driving home a big storm with awesome clouds was rolling in. And as I passed a strip mall I saw a man sitting outside in a chair. He just looked so lonely. And behind the stores is this Memorial Park that features a huge flag that always looks so stately (but lonely) that was blowing away behind him in the brewing storm. Only One Around The dark clouds were rolling in That big flag was flapping in the wind He ran his fingers through his hair As he flicked his cigarette under his chair Feeling restless in his own boots He stands and ponders all his roots Never missed, but always gets that kiss Why do they always say goodbye Well, have you ever been lonely? Felt like the only one around Have you ever been so lowly Felt like your heart was breaking down Waiting for the phone to ring A twist of wrist to see the time Why isn’t she calling The wind blows the smell of pine He’s tired of chasing hon-eey Nobody wants to settle down The storm it starts a hum-ming Big Splats of rain all around Well, have you ever been lonely? Felt like the only one around Have you ever been so lowly Felt like your heart was breaking down With a toss of his cig, he goes inside Feels like a good day to just read and hide Thunder rolling softly, a quick flicker of light He opens his book and puts her out of sight Rosie Powell May 1 2008
