Dik Banovich has been on the folk & blues scene for more than 35 years. Brought up in Chicago in the 1950's and 1960's, his finger picking style and gutsy vocals reveal his early exposure to the blues,as well as his Irish roots. Since 2002 Dik has lived in Brittany and continues to perform and tour as well as running guitar workshops from his home in Brittany.

Story behind the song
Absolute Zero was recorded in my living room in Scotland on an old Pioneer tape deck using a couple of microphones I had kicking around at the time. I wrote the song and recorded it in about 3 hours - it was meant to be a rehearsal tape for recording at a later date - but I moved and have actually just found the tape it was recorded on. Dubious quality but heh?
